The Institute admitted its first master's students in 1993 and launched its Ph.D. program in 1996. Our graduates have pursued successful careers in academia, research institutes, medical centers, hospitals, and the biotechnology industry in Taiwan and abroad.
Research at the Institute encompasses hematopoiesis, cytokine signaling, dendritic cell biology, T cell regulation and differentiation, infection and immunity, cancer and tumor immunology, vaccinology, clinical immunology, and autoimmune diseases. Our faculty members work collaboratively to investigate the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying immune responses and to advance both basic and translational immunology research.
Our curriculum integrates rigorous coursework with hands-on research training, emphasizing independent thinking, scientific inquiry, and problem-solving skills. Through immunology seminars, laboratory research presentations, and annual student poster symposiums, students develop strong research capabilities, scientific communication skills, teamwork, and a global perspective.
